Going to the fair is often nostalgic because of the temporary escape from reality. Calories don’t count and for a few seconds, you can sit on top of the world dangling your toes in the wind. For a dollar, you can see a giant horse or a midget. I always opt for the giant horse. Here is the nostalgia of fresh cut french fries fried in real greasy oil and dipped in malt vinegar. Warning – not to be combined with ice cream and fried oreos if you are planning to ride the generic Dumbo ride. Never fear the rides that spin you upside down, just the ones meant for toddlers. I think I was a little sick.

Ahhh… true nostalgia – an old school Frigidaire complete with the markings of modern graffiti. Isn’t most nostalgia tainted these days?

[...] Fine, I get it. Enough already. Now go see Russell’s shot, and Conni’s shot. [...]
I want to like the Frigidaire more…but I think the fries are stronger. Next time you’re there, shoot the icebox wider, portrait orientation, and show me what’s nearby. I think I want to see all the edges and appreciate the curved corners.
Mmm, fries.
I’m with Michael, The fries are great and I want to eat them right this second.
That fridge makes me want to see whats inside. Who’s is this?
Unfortunately, the fridge was at the music studio where the band was practicing. There is paneling on either side & I am pretty sure even above it as if it were built into the wall… not very interesting surroundings. I think maybe a vertical would have worked better. I have to agree that Frigidaire is lacking. It needs the funky old handle to make it. I was really hoping to get pictures of old cars at the fair but the “Car Show” was for X-Treme rides & not the type of car show I was hoping for.
