SAPCC #43 – Isolation

I finally got a new hard drive – 1TB… Woooohooo!  For the past three weeks, I have been limited in my abilities to edit photos because I had been moving videos, condensing them, deleting RAW files… It was a mess.  Add in too many events that needed photos and I have fallen behind.

For “isolation,” I have chosen this photo of the old real Yankee Stadium as seen from a balcony in the new Yankee Stadium.  To try & be brief, I chose this because:

1.  The old stadium is isolated from the public with obvious scaffolding.

2.  The new stadium is isolated from being a part of the Bronx because of its grandness.

3.  Pieces of the old stadium are isolated from regular people like me when Steiner sports sells them for premium prices.

4.  Capitalism at work… isolation?

Oh how I wish I had more time before work to explain this further.

  2. Nice thinkin here Conni!!
    Yankee fans will love this!

  3. I think your thoughts are like my favorite capability in Photoshop: Layers. Nice.

  4. Pat! That was Nerdy DEEP! Love it.

  5. That was deep. Love it.
PS I wish I would have saved this for nostalgia even though that would havebeen cheating :)

  6. You’re right, this would have worked well again for nostalgia. I think the old stadium was pretty cool. Should’ve stuck with it. Good eye to shoot this and not merely walk by the other 40k people.

  7. I have to admit that the new stadium is gorgeous but it lacks the history. If I ever get to stamp the rest of the pics, I will post them for a belated “compete.”
